Nomai is the first suburban restaurant and bar concept from Brian Moy and the team behind Shōjō in Boston’s Chinatown. Named for the crimson Japanese maple tree, Nomai offers new American cuisine with creative Asian flavors in a modern, elegant, space at Derby Street Shops. Nomai brings the same fun and lively atmosphere Moy’s Chinatown spots are known for, but in a more refined and elevated setting.
Conceptualized by Culinary Director Jason Hua and Executive Chef Bradley Yard, Nomai’s menu highlights both familiar favorites and far-reaching flavors from throughout Asia. A wide array of raw bar, snack, vegetable, and appetizer offerings are designed for sharing, while traditional protein options allow for a more conventional, coursed meal. Guests will also enjoy a dynamic cocktail program including riffs on classic cocktails under Nomai’s Creative Bar Director, Justin Park, in addition to a wide-ranging selection of sake, craft beer, and wine.
