Gelato & Chill

Boston based family-owned gelato shop, Gelato & Chill will bring a taste of Italy to Hingham when it opens its first storefront outside of the city in Spring 2020. Named one of the best ice cream shops in Boston by Boston Magazine and Time Out Boston, Gelato & Chill offers small batch handmade gelato and sorbet inspired by award-winning Italian recipes. The shop was founded by husband and wife duo, Vincent and Sandra Turco, and is run with their two daughters, Annie and Alessandra. While living in Italy for almost three years, Vincent trained under a master Gelatiere in Milan and the Turco family travelled to every “best” gelato establishment to bring the freshest and most authentic gelato and sorbet to New England. Crafted in Gelato & Chill’s kitchen in Hingham, all flavors are made with the highest quality, natural ingredients, and never include additives or high fructose corn syrup. All ice creams are all made with locally sourced cream and use ingredients from Europe such as pistachios and hazelnuts. Guests will be more than delighted with rich and indulgent gelato flavors like Ricotta with Fig, Stracciatella, and Nocciola, and refreshingly sweet sorbets such as Pineapple with Rosemary and Satsuma Mandarin Orange. The shop will also offer many vegan-friendly, dairy-free, and gluten-free options. Supporting sustainability, all cups, spoons and napkins will be compostable and biodegradable. Upon opening, Gelato & Chill at Derby Street will join Gelato & Chill’s acclaimed storefront at Time Out Market in the Fenway.
