Summer Thursdays 2026

Join us for family fun, all summer long. Tickets are required for children only, caregivers do not need a ticket. 100% of ticket sales will be donated to benefit The Arc of the South Shore and Cardinal Cushing Centers. In the event of rain or extreme heat, events may be canceled, moved, or postponed. Please look out for an email from eventbrite regarding any changes. 

How to purchase tickets: Download the Derby Street Insider App.  Tap “Events” in the bottom right corner, then scroll to the bottom and select “View All”. Click on the event, and register via the “Book Now” button.  

🎵 Thu. June 4 @ 10:30–11am: Music with Mama Steph Join us on The Green for a baby, toddler & kid-friendly live music performance by everyone’s favorite South Shore singer and songwriter, Mama Steph. 

👸 Thu. June 11 @ 10:30–11:30am: Princess Storytime  Step into a storybook moment on The Green with a beloved mermaid and snow princess for a morning of tales, songs, and fairy-tale fun.  

🍦 Thu. June 18 @ 2–3:30pm: Character Ice Cream at Ben & Jerry’s  A sweet afternoon with your favorite: a mermaid from under the sea, and everyone’s favorite web-spinning hero, available exclusively to Derby Street Insider members. Scoop up your spot in the Insider app. 

🥁 Thu. June 25 @ 10:30–11:15am: Drum Circle with Ed Sorrentino & South Shore Conservatory An interactive, all-ages drumming experience on The Green. Bring the whole family and enjoy fun moments with music. 

🧘 Thu. July 9 @ 10–10:30am: Family Yoga with Christine from Little Bee Yoga Company A gentle & fun, kid-friendly yoga class to move your body and start the summer morning right. 

🌈 Thu. July 16 @ 10–10:30am: Sing-along & Storytime with Sarah Martin Join musician and author Sarah Martin for feel-good songs, stories, and movement on The Green. 

🎶 Thu. July 23 @ 10:30–11:15am: Sing-Along with Heather Watson & South Shore Conservatory Live music, little voices, and a whole lot of fun on The Green with the South Shore Conservatory. 

🎵 Thu. July 30 @ 10:30–11am: Music with Mama Steph Mama Steph is back for another morning of original songs, singalongs, and good vibes on The Green.

🎶 Thu. Aug. 13 @ 10:30–11:15am: Sing-Along with Peter Mundt & South Shore Conservatory A beloved South Shore Conservatory favorite returns for a live, kid-friendly singalong on The Green. 

📚 Thu. Aug. 20 @ 10–10:45am: Back to School Storytime at Barnes & Noble A fun send-off to summer. Settle in for stories, songs, stickers, and a little back-to-school magic inside Barnes & Noble. 

🌎 Thu. Aug. 27 @ 10–10:45am: Spanish FUN ¡Hola! Learn Spanish through dancing, singing, and parachute play in this interactive outdoor class on The Green.
