Summer Thursdays Lineup 

 Tickets are required for children only – caregivers do not need a ticket. 100% of ticket sales will be donated to The Arc of the South Shore. In the event of rain or extreme heat, events may be canceled, moved, or postponed. Please look out for an email regarding event changes.

Download the Derby Street Insider App. Create an account. Click the bottom right hand corner tab, “Events”. Once you are on the events page, scroll all the way to the bottom and click “See All” to view all Summer Thursdays events.

THURSDAY, JUNE 5 | 3-4pm: Dino Meet & Greet with Roger Williams Park Zoo 

Join us on The Green for the opportunity to meet two dinosaur characters, a chance to snap pics with a real-life (well, almost!) dinosaur. Plus, scoops from Ben & Jerry’s.

THURSDAY, JUNE 12 | 10:30am-11:15am: Music with Mama Steph 

Join us on The Green for a baby, toddler & kid-friendly live music performance by everyone’s favorite South Shore singer and songwriter, Mama Steph!

THURSDAY, JUNE 26 | 10-11am: Wicked Good Playdate with Boston Moms & Singalong with Jasmine from South Shore Conservatory 

A fun, kid-friendly music experience! Let the little ones dance and play while enjoying a live performance by Jasmine Vergara-Ullman and the South Shore Conservatory. Boston Moms is the go-to resource for Modern Motherhood in Greater Boston and beyond!

THURSDAY, JULY 10 | 10:30-11:30am: Princess Storytime with Frozen Friends 

Step into a storybook moment on The Green with two beloved snow sisters for a morning of tales and fairy-tale fun.

THURSDAY, JULY 17 | 3pm: Drop & Shop: A Street Style Summer Art Pop-Up with Boston Artistry 

Get ready for Art Drop & Shop — a vibrant 2-hour outdoor art and design experience led by The Boston Artistry, the South Shore’s go-to designer-led art and fashion studio! Kids ages 5–14 will dive into the world of street-style creativity, choosing from trendy wearables like bucket hats, caps, tees, shopping totes, and drawstring summer bags to personalize using fabric paints, stencils, patches, and live airbrushing. This drop-off event gives kids the chance to collaborate with real artists and designers to create fashion-forward pieces — all while parents can shop, dine, or stroll at Derby. It’s colorful, cool, and completely custom!

Hola, would you like to learn Spanish? Join us on The Green for an interactive Spanish lesson through dancing, playing with the parachute, singing and having fun.

THURSDAY, JULY 31  | 10-11am: Sensory Friendly Yoga & Storytime 

Join Arc of the South Shore for a magical story time & yoga class that brings books to life.

AUGUST 28 | 10am-11am: Family Drum Circle with South Shore Conservatory 

An inclusive, interactive drumming experience for the whole family. This engaging session encourages teamwork and community building, fostering confidence and well-being through a creative, hands-on process.
