Good News For Nursing Mamas: Derby Street Shops Debuts a Mamava Breastfeeding POD

MARKING THE FIRST MAMAVA POD TO BE LOCATED AT A SHOPPING DESTINATION IN NEW ENGLAND AND THE FIRST POD ON THE SOUTH SHORE.
Furthering its commitment to support mothers and little ones, Derby Street Shops is thrilled to debut a Mamava breastfeeding pod, a freestanding lactation suite designed to provide breastfeeding women with a private space to pump or nurse. The new Mamava pod is the first pod to be located at a shopping destination in New England and also the first Mamava pod on the South Shore. While Derby Street welcomes breastfeeding anywhere on its property, the Mamava pod gives Derby Street shoppers and employees a clean, peaceful, and private designated space that will uniquely meet the needs of breastfeeding mothers should they prefer that. Derby Street’s Mamava pod is located at its new green space, Derby St. Green in Partnership with South Shore Health, home to the property’s kid-friendly activities, fitness series, and seasonal events.
Created by Mamava, a company dedicated to transforming the culture of breastfeeding by making it easier for more women to achieve their breastfeeding goals, the Mamava suite is a self-contained, mobile pod with comfortable benches, a fold-down table, an electrical outlet for plugging in a breast pump, and a door that can be locked for privacy. The Mamava pod at Derby Street is an ADA pod, Mamava’s largest freestanding lactation suite. The 6-foot by 10-foot pod is meant for individual use, but can fit more than one person, as well as mothers with babies and other children in tow. Mamava ADA pods can be located and unlocked with the free Mamava app and proprietary Bluetooth-enabled SmartLock.
