Warning Signs by Tracy Sierra is a suspenseful thriller about a 12-year-old boy, Zach, who must use his survival skills to navigate a dangerous father-son ski trip in the Colorado backcountry after an avalanche traps him with his father and other adults, forcing him to confront threats from both the wilderness and the people around him. The story explores themes of grief, fractured family relationships, and the tension between natural dangers and human menace, as Zach relies on his late mother’s teachings to survive.
