The nation’s largest specialty retailer of fashion swimwear is looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to drive profitable sales and engage a team of sales associates. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in fashion/swimwear, a background in retail, a positive attitude and ability to build and maintain relationships.

JOB TITLE:                            Assistant Store Manager

 

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Assistant Store Manager is charged with every aspect of the day-to-day supervision of store operations, including sales, staff, and inventory management.   In this role, you will be challenged to lead and engage your associates while driving a service-driven culture.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:

  • High School diploma or higher
  • 2-4 years of experience in retail sales
  • Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools
  • Ability to manage the functions listed in the Associate and Key Holder job descriptions
  • Ability to use a computer to complete and analyze reports, manage inventory and
  • Open availability
  • Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English
  • Ability to motivate and engage associates
  • Strong customer focus
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to comprehend and analyze retail trends
  • Strong merchandising skills
  • Understanding of company policies/procedures and brand requirements

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Understand and support store operations, policies and procedures

Manage sales and expenses to optimize results

Prepare and/or oversee preparation of necessary reports and paperwork

 

 

Maintain staffing levels consistent with business needs to ensure excellent customer service (Includes assisting with recruiting, hiring and training associates)

Ensure adequate shift coverage which may require the Assistant Store Manager to cover shifts in the event there are no other associates available to work

Provide on-going and timely performance feedback for all associates

Ensure that all weekly time and attendance records and payroll are finalized, transmitted and processed

Communicate with District Sales Managers and appropriate corporate partners to ensure proper flow of information

Ensure that all required employment related posters and signs are in a place that is easily accessible to all associates

Manage and assign tasks appropriately to ensure the stores are clean, adequately stocked, organized, well- kept and priced correctly

Resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner

Promote safe and secure culture in store

Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire shift
